(un)dress your hair
Bb Texture is described as the hair (un)dressing creme which is really the perfect way to describe it as it gives you that gorgeous, undone, beachy wave similar to that of their classic Surf Spray but with minimal effort. All you have to do is apply it to damp hair (a must!), really working it in through the middle and ends as this is what will give the waves good definition, then make sure it is applied through the roots and either let it air dry or use a hair dryer with a diffuser and voila! Sexy, textured waves that look like you’ve just rolled out of bed looking like a Goddess!
What’s good about this in particular is that sometimes these types of products which are aimed at giving you that beachy texture are really only any good if your hair already has a bit of a wave or curl in it. Where Bb Texture is different is that you can even use it on poker straight hair and it will still give the same effect! Don’t be afraid to use a good amount of it though. It can be easy to think a styling product isn’t very effective when what’s actually happened is you just haven’t used enough of it for it to be able to do it’s job! Start with a small amount and work it between your hands then start applying to the length but really work it in and keep applying until you’ve got all your hair covered. Make sure to apply a good amount at the crown as well as this will give you a nice lift. Be warned, it feels quite sticky in your hand which can sometimes put you off using too much of a product but any stickiness goes away once it’s dry and what you are left with is great definition and hold. The effect is very bed-head which is (annoyingly!) one of those styles that seems like it should be incredibly easy to achieve but, without the right products, can be impossible! Bb Texture is a matte product as well (again, similar to the Surf Spray) which helps in giving you that second-day kind of look.
With all the comparisons to Bb Surf Spray you might wonder why bother to try this one! Though there are some similarities, Surf Spray is usually most effective on wavy hair while this is good for all types and you won’t get as much body with the Texture Creme as you would with Surf Spray; this is more about giving you that gritty, textured tousle. As you can imagine, these two products are great layered up with each other as you can use the Texture Creme before you dry then apply a bit of Surf Spray once your hair is dry to add extra detailing or at the roots if you’d like a bit more lift. You’ll also find it gives you great thickness and hold which is brilliant for updos as it gives the hair a lot of grip meaning your style will stay in place without the need for hundreds of pins!!
